One afternoon, the four grandparents and two grandchildren hopped in the VW van, for a short ride to Beroun to the glass factory...after lunch at McDonald's of course.
While there, Owen was invited by one of the artisans to come forward and do some glass blowing. This could never have happened in the U.S. because of all the safety laws, so we're glad Owen was able to take advantage of the opportunity. In fact, he's rubbing the back of his neck due to the heat of the ovens behind him. Although not shown here, after the glass was reheated, Owen was able to blow through the tube and make it bigger. Awesome!
Afterward, we made friends with one of the cats that appeared there.
