It's that time of year again when the February Blues set in. To counteract this annual problem, (since 1999) I hold a special get-together for my friends with a different theme each year. The invitations are mailed out with a hint of the theme and a dress code. For instance, last year's theme was a "Hen Party" where each guest wore something feathery, the food included not even a hint of chicken, the decorations featured hens of all kinds, and we shared chicken jokes and riddles.
This year, the theme is a "Royal Champagne Brunch" where each guest is being given a royal title and asked to wear a long skirt (or finest ensemble) and, of course, her tiara. They will be treated royally, to be sure!
