This year's title was "Leap into Leap Year" with frogs as the theme. Starting at the front door, there were frogs to greet each visitor, including one that croaked when someone walked past.
Next, there were nametags for each guest with a lily pad and frog. The dining room table also featured a frog basket which held chocolate favors with a frog on each container.
There was also a giant frog peeking through some bull rushes and tall grass to welcome those who came. For lunch, we had --no, not frog's legs-- pulled pork sliders and other finger foods, with chocolate cupcakes for dessert. Punch was served in green plastic cups with frog stickers on them and lime slices for lily pads.
After lunch, we asked frog riddles such as: Q. what is a frog's favorite drink? A. croak-a-cola. (You get the idea...) Finally, Cyndy taught us how to make leaping origami frogs out of green cardstock. This last photo shows how a group of middle-aged women can still "get down" and have some fun!
There were lots of laughs here today!
