Thanks to my coming down with Shingles (ugh!) we had to postpone our trip. It started a few days before; but because we caught it early enough, my doctor was able to prescribe something that reduces the severity. So far, it seems to have worked--no rash and a not-so-bad amount of pain on my left side. As soon as this is over, I'm getting the vaccine so that I NEVER get this again!
Meanwhile, we hear that the return flights we were going to take have been canceled. Because of the British Air strike, were able to rebook at no cost; so we made them for October. That will make it one year since our last visit, and it's very disappointing not to be able to be there sooner...but the Lord knew...
The good news is that we'll be in Prague for the Grand Opening of the Mosaic House!
An occasional glimpse of life in rural New Jersey where we share our mountaintop home with 2 cats and a variety of wildlife... (Don't forget to click on the photos to enlarge.)

THE AZALEAS HAVE POPPED!

Aren't they beautiful? It's amazing how full they can get when they're not being eaten down every year by certain 4-legged creatures no longer getting past our fences...or should I say defenses!
Can you spot the three stray tulips in bloom? (bottom photo)
Can't wait for all the day lilies to bloom later in the season...stay tuned...
